“If I wake up looking tired and puffy, I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face. It tightens everything making you look and feel instantly awake. It is a bit Joan Crawford – but it works!” – Kate Moss
Kate Moss’ beauty secret is in my freezer and it’s free?
Cara Delevingne swears by it, Lauren Conrad and more…
Basically ice cubes are the beauty tool you never knew you needed.
Early photoshoot? Ice
Jet Lagged? Ice
Face Red? Ice
Brings dull skin back to life
Rubbing an ice cube on your face in the morning will not only help to boost the circulation in your face but it actually brightens your skin. Think of it as a wake-up call for your skin, especially after a night full of wine.(Tip: Add coffee to your morning ice cubes. The caffeine does wonders for your skin).

Reduce pimples + inflammation
Acne is a skin injury, therefore, you should care for pimples the same way you would a small cut or bruise especially when you pick or pop. Ice it! Not only will ice reduce inflammation and numb any pain, it helps to calm the redness associated with pimples.
Calm puffy eyes + get rid of bags under your eyes
Continuously move the ice cube from the inner eye corners and upwards towards the eyebrow (always move or pat up when it comes to your face because of you know… wrinkles).
Reduce wrinkles + natural oil
Ice cubes are literally an instant facial. Not only will ice tighten your skin in general but it tightens pores to hold moisture — HELLO wrinkle delay. The ice will also reduce the release of natural oils (if you have oily skin) leaving your face feeling nothing but fresh!
Makeup primer + pore tightener
Okay, this one is my FAVORITE!! (not that you needed any more convincing that ice is literally a skin savior… seriously). I have read about setting your make up by dipping your entire face in a bowl of ice water (I am not quite sure about this trick yet but after today I might try it). I ran out of primer today and tried ice instead. It worked amazingly. My make up has lasted all day, I have been getting hella compliments and it looks airbrushed. Not to mention it saves me $50 a month on a primer.
Prep your brows
I have yet to find someone who enjoys plucking their eyebrows but an ice cube will help lessen that pain. Rubbing an ice cube on your face before you pluck will numb the skin, soothes irritation, decrease redness, and keep those stray hairs under control.
If you feel like being extra with this hack, I have a few more suggestions to take this up a notch. I mean with the money you’re saving on everything else, you might as well make your ice treatment more spa-like.
Make milk cubes + scalp your face
Whole milk contains Vitamin A (cell-regenerative) lactic acid (natural exfoliate). Freeze whole milk and repeat the tips above. You can also literally scalp your cheekbones with milk cubes. Rub the cube from your chin up your jawline, and across your forehead.
You can also add:
Cucumbers + blueberries
Coffee (seriously coffee is great for your skin)
As I mentioned above, pimples are technically injuries and full of bacteria. So make sure you wrap your ice cubes up in a paper-towel or ziplock bag!
