“hustle though, ambition, flow, inside her DNA.”
My last blog post ‘What makes an Alpha Male an Alpha?” (Check it out HERE) got such interesting feedback from both men and women, so I wanted to find out more about Alphas.
Some people imagine the Alpha female as a loud and opinionated woman who is difficult to get along with and hates men. Others imagine the Alpha female as a woman who is independent, works hard, isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, always seems confident and put together, and she is not detoured by what anyone else is doing because she is very focused on herself and her goals.
She isn’t afraid to be alone or do things alone.
The alpha female welcomes independence. She doesn’t need anything or anyone else (although it’s an added bonus if she has someone to share experiences with). Buying herself dinner or grabbing a drink alone at a bar or restaurant is an experience she embraces and doesn’t shy from.
Lives life with a purpose and is ambitious.
The Alpha female has direction in her life. She knows what she wants and nothing will stop her from getting those things. The job, the boyfriend, the pay raise, health goals, etc. She takes full responsibility for her actions, her choices and knows that to get what she wants from life, she needs to make it happen (and she does). She will not be in a relationship with a man that is dramatic, unmotivated or lazy because it detours from her goals. If you are in a relationship with an Alpha, she will get things done and work hard to make sure you are both happy, but if the relationship isn’t working or not adding value she isn’t afraid to walk away.
She is loyal and brings people together.
Similar to the female wolf, the Alpha female feels a sense of responsibility for those around her and she will go out of the way to make sure they are protected and cared for. The Alpha female usually only has a few close friends and holds those relationships with high regard. She will not be phased by petty arguments or tough conversations, and she does not let her important relationships dissolve easily. Since Alphas are not afraid to be themselves and say what’s on the mind, she is surrounded with people that accept her as she is, and she is not okay letting these individuals leave her life easily. (Fighting for people who are important to you is a sign of strength, not weakness. In today’s society we often forget this). As the leader, these females are usually in charge of organizing social events. They have a tendency to bring friends and groups together which makes people want to be around them.
She knows how to love
Most of us know ‘how to love’ another person. The issue usually isn’t how to love, it’s not being afraid to give 100% in a new relationship knowing fully there is a chance to be hurt. The Alpha doesn’t see the fear, she sees an opportunity for a partner she has been looking for, so when she loves, she loves hard. She will give the relationship everything she has and her partner will know it. She supports her man, challenges him to be better, she makes him want to be better. She looks for a partner, a teammate, ultimately an equal. She won’t tolerate games, passive-aggressive behavior, jealousy or someone who tries to bring her down. She is patient and tolerable but is not afraid to walk away. She is aware of her worth and knows she is an investment that most men would be lucky to have a stake in.
Resilient and not afraid to start over
Life gets us all down at some point, but some people take the hard times a little harder than others. The Alpha female is no stranger to heartbreak, but even amidst the hardest of situations, she maintains a sense of purpose and will not waste time on a pity party. No matter the situation, she will persevere. She doesn’t believe in regret or dwelling on past mistakes.
